We receive an overwhelming number of requests each year for donations of material for many worthy non-profit organizations. With this overwhelming number of requests, we have found it necessary to set corporate policy regarding donations of material - we limit our donations to non-profit organizations in the local geographical areas where our business units are based. If you are a quilt group organization planning a special event, or have further questions please email FabricDonations@cpw.com for further information.

| Is your fabric flame retardant? |
|
Our fabrics are "Not Flame Retardant". In order for Cotton fabric to be Flame Retardant, special chemicals would have to be put on the surface of the fabric during processing. Most of our product goes into over the counter fabric or apparel. As a company, we have decided not to put additional chemicals on our fabrics to make them Flame Retardant. We are required by the Federal Government to test our fabric for “General Flammability”, according to an established "Test Method". We perform this test on all types of fabrics that we as a company sell. All of our fabrics that we sell have successfully passed this requirement. PASSED - does not imply that the fabric is Flame Retardant, simply that it meets the requirements of the test method. Fabric "will" burn. Most local Fire Ordinances require that when using fabric for display purposes in a public building, they must be Flame Retardant. If you have such ordinances in your area, and this is your intent, then our fabric would not be suitable for your purpose.
